Athol Opens Early Voting Ahead of State Primary
ATHOL — Athol's town government announced Aug. 20 that early voting is now underway ahead of the Massachusetts state primary, giving residents an extended window to cast ballots before Election Day.

The Athol Public Library held a discussion Thursday evening built around what it billed as "a book that could be considered taboo," part of its ongoing adult discussion series at the Main Street branch. The library has also posted a new slate of fall programming: a Graphic Novel Club session on "Awkward" set for Sept. 10, a mystery-title discussion Sept. 15, a Little Kids Crafternoon craft session themed around a shaggy sheepdog Sept. 2, and a Teen Manga Book Club meeting on "Dr. Stone" scheduled for Sept. 21.
